Can't see any image. Maybe, I'm doing something wrong here. Joe

Knut -

Yes, I'm really in agreement with what you said - I was just bringing up an issue for the sake of discussion. No matter what security measures there are on a site there will be some resourceful soul who will find a way to "borrow" it, so I'm content to post images and enjoy the interactions on the forum.

Bill

Thanks. See if you can load pictures now. Make your own gallery if possible. Can you see my 3 images?

Agreed but one question here. How about having animals instead of "people?" For instance, cats or dogs or any other unstaged in an urban street or environment with no people in the frame?

Joe

Thanks, Joe. The idea was that this should be for people shooting, but I guess that a singe dog or cat or street walking cow will do no harm :-).

I am trying to learn how the picture section works in this forum. Would you do me a favour? Could you check if you can see the 3 image I have loaded and also try to load some yourself?

Best
Knut

Hi Rishmie -

You have a perfectly adequate camera that will serve you well for a long time. Just use it a lot so that you don't have to think much about the camera - just about the images you want to make and the stories you want to tell with them. Someday you may find that you want or need something else, but for now don't worry about it.

I've been a professional photographer for about 40 years, the last 20 in Seattle as a freelancer, and have used, or at least played with, more cameras than I can remember.

And your English is perfectly fine! Most Americans have little reason to learn other languages well enough to actually use them, so I am very grateful for your English!

Have fun shooting!

Bill

"Hello!

My name is Rishmie. I'm 20 year old female and I live in Spain.

I have been interested in Street Photography for a long time and I have a Nikkon D5000 camera with a AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 G Lens. So I'm a very newbie amateur here.

Can some of you experienced persons out here give me some tips and advices, please. I would like to know if I have the right camera and right equipment for the job! :)

You can search me on facebook in the group 'On every street' or Game with Leica and look at my pictures. I would like some feedback if possible.

Thank you very much in advance! :)

PS: Sorry if my English isn't correct, it's not my maine language."
